I’ve been participating in The 100 Day Project created by artist and writer Elle Luna since April 19. What is The 100 Day Project?
It’s celebration of process that encourages everyone to participate in 100 days of making. The great surrender is the process; showing up day after day is the goal. For the 100-Day Project, it’s not about fetishizing finished products—it’s about the process.
I’ve committed to doing one small drawing a day. For the most part I’m doing ink drawings on small square pieces of watercolor paper, but occasionally something different sneaks in. In between packing to move, client work and an art festival, I’ve missed a couple of days, but have tried to make up for them by doing extras.
You can follow along with my progress on Instagram, and I will periodically post some here as well.
And by the way, buy Elle Luna’s awesome book, The Crossroads of Should and Must.
