Yep, it’s another magnolia and honeybee! And this is the final drawing for my 2020 State Flowers + Insects Calendar. Now it’s time to do the layout and get this sucker...

I skipped ahead alphabetically and drew the Texas bluebonnet since the season for them has just begun! Texas has two state insects, the honeybee and the monarch butterfly. Both are gorgeous, of course, but I chose to draw this big bee with his pollen sacs full! Thinking about what products to put this and my other state flowers on… what do you think? Prints? Greeting cards? Tshirts? Tote bags? What would you like to see them on? ...
