Oklahoma’s state flower is the Indian blanket and the insect is the honeybee. Since I already have a zillion bees, I drew their state butterfly, the black swallowtail.

Ahhhh… January! Somehow I let half of it go by without sending out an email with my flower wallpapers. I started the month – as most of us do – with big plans to get organized, set goals (and actually follow through with them) and accomplish BIG THINGS!⠀ ⠀ Then I read James Clear’s Atomic Habits and changed my perspective. I still have plans and things I want to accomplish, but instead of focusing on big goals, I’m implementing tiny daily habits. Each one is carefully chosen so that they help me make progress in all of the areas that I have big goals in. ⠀ ⠀ More about that soon, as some of the habits that I’m working on cultivating are writing more, sharing more and doing one thing every day that scares me. ⠀ ⠀ But for now, have some pretty flowers and insects to enjoy on all of your devices!
